The Anchor News – 10th January 2025

Happy New Year everyone, it has been lovely to welcome all our families back to school this week.
The children have settled back well and have gotten straight back to hard work. Y6 are back with renewed focus as SATs are only a few months away and it come round sooner than we think.
Thank you to all those who came to school in appropriate school PE uniform. There were a few children who were reminded of the PE uniform and from next week we will begin asking pupils wearing names/ branded PE clothes, to change into a spare school kit.
Swimming begins next week for year 5 and I know they are looking forward to that.
There has been a slight change with PE days. From this term;
Tuesday – EYFS, Y1 and Y3
Wednesday – Y2, Y4, Y6
Our school Christian value for this half term is Compassion. We will be doing lots of assemblies and work around what compassion is and how we can demonstrate this in everyday life.
Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Wishing everyone a restful weekend, see you Monday.
