The Anchor News – 23rd May 2025

Hello everyone,

It’s Miss Begum here, it’s been a while since I last wrote! Even though this term has been short, it has certainly been a busy one with lots happening across the school.

We started by celebrating VE Day, where children took part in activities to learn about the end of World War II and the importance of peace and remembrance.

Year 6 showed outstanding commitment, resilience, and determination while preparing for and completing their SATs. We are all very proud of the positive attitude and effort they’ve shown during this important time and wish them a huge well done.

We also had our Book Fair running over the past two weeks, which has been a great success! It was wonderful to see so many children excited about reading and discovering new books to enjoy at home.

After the break there is lots happening but importantly, Year 4 will be taking their Multiplication Tables Check across the first two weeks back, so Year 4 please keep practising your times tables over the half term!

Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable half term break. Don’t forget, school reopens as normal on Monday 2nd June at 8:45am.

Take care and see you all soon!
