The Anchor News – 23rd October 2025

Hello everyone! My name is Mrs Begum, and I’m delighted to be continuing my teaching journey here at St. Clement’s in Nechells. I have been teaching in Year 2, and next half term, I’ll have the pleasure of teaching both Year 1 and Year 2. I’m really looking forward to getting to know all the children and helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.
At St. Clement’s, our school values of love, respect, and perseverance are at the heart of everything we do. I always strive to bring these values into my classroom—creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and inspired to do their best.
I became a teacher because I wanted to make a real difference in young lives. Seeing children discover new ideas, build resilience, and develop a love for learning is what motivates me every day. I believe learning should be engaging, creative, and fun, so I love to bring lessons to life through hands-on activities, stories, and imaginative projects.
Outside of school, I enjoy cooking and art, which often find their way into my teaching! I love using creativity to make learning memorable for my pupils. I’m truly excited for the next half term and can’t wait to continue this wonderful journey with our amazing children and families.
