The Anchor News – 16th January 2026

Hello everyone,
My name is Miss Begum, and I am a Teaching Assistant in Year 3. This is my third year at St. Clement’s, and I am thoroughly enjoying being part of such a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging school community.
In my role, I support pupils through targeted interventions and phonics sessions, helping them to build confidence and develop key learning skills. I work closely with class teachers to support children both within the classroom and in small group settings, ensuring they feel supported and ready to learn.
This term, St. Clements’ school value focus is “Compassion”, and it has been wonderful to see this reflected across the school. Many pupils have written thoughtful and meaningful poems about compassion, which were shared during a special assembly today. These moments provided a lovely opportunity for children to express their feelings, celebrate kindness, and listen respectfully to one another.
As the weather remains cold, please remember to continue wearing and zipping up coats when coming to school.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.
