The Anchor News – 21st November 2025

Hello everyone, Miss Zubair here, and I hope all the children have had a fantastic couple of weeks settling back into their routines and enjoying their learning. This is my second year teaching at St. Clement’s, and it has been wonderful to see the children grow in confidence, enthusiasm and resilience.

I am teaching Year 5 this year and have had the pleasure of teaching these children last year in Year 4. It has been amazing to see how well they have settled into this new school year and how they are building on the progress they made last year. I am really looking forward to seeing them achieve even more in their learning over the coming months.

Year 5 have an exciting term ahead! One of the highlights will be an African workshop, where the children will have the opportunity to create their own African masks and play authentic African drums, experiencing the music and culture first-hand.

It has also been wonderful to see so many children taking part in Children in Need Day today, proudly wearing their spotty clothes and raising money for such a worthy cause. A big thank you to all the families who supported this event and helped make it such a success.

As we move further into the winter months, please ensure your children come to school with coats, hats and warm layers, so they can continue to enjoy outdoor play and learning comfortably.

I hope everyone has a restful and enjoyable weekend, ready for another week full of exciting learning opportunities..
