The Anchor News – 28th November 2025

Hi, my name is Mrs Akhtar, and I have been an HLTA at St. Clement’s School since 2008. I am still amazed by the beautiful smiles that greet me each morning, and it is a pleasure to work alongside such wonderful staff and children.

Being an HLTA is both exciting and challenging but incredibly rewarding too. I have experience working with children one-to-one, in small groups, and with whole classes. I also support children for whom English is not their first language, which is especially helpful as I am multilingual.

This year, I am working with the children in Year 6, and I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know them and supporting their learning.

My goal is to help each child learn in the way that suits them best. I want them to feel so inspired and excited about learning that they naturally develop a desire to explore and discover more. I firmly believe that everyone learns something new every day, and that life itself is a lifelong learning journey.

As the weather is getting colder, please make sure the children come to school wrapped up warm.

Have a fantastic weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all bright and early on Monday morning.
