Happy Friday Everyone,
As I complete my first few weeks as Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and say what a genuine pleasure it has been to join this wonderful school community. From my very first morning on the gates, I was struck by the warmth and kindness shown by both children and families. Seeing so many happy, smiling faces arriving at school each day has been incredibly heartwarming and I have truly appreciated the many parents and carers who have taken the time to introduce themselves and make me feel so welcome. Inside the school, I have already been so impressed by the positive attitudes towards learning. In classrooms and around the school, I have seen children working hard, showing respect to one another and proudly living out our school values of courage, humility, dignity, compassion, hope and service. What has stood out most to me has been the strong relationships across the school community. During conversations with pupils, it is clear that children feel supported, enjoy learning and are proud of their school. I am excited to work alongside our dedicated staff, wonderful children and supportive families as we continue to build on the school’s strong foundations and celebrate all that makes this community so special.
