The Anchor News – 15th May 2026

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo at St. Clement’s Academy. It has been a very positive and welcoming start to my role, and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the pupils and meeting parents and families over the past few weeks. I am already seeing the strong sense of community and care that makes St Clement’s such a special place for children to learn and grow.

I am very much looking forward to the upcoming Meet and Greet coffee morning on Tuesday 19th May, and hope that many of you will be able to attend – it will be a great opportunity to meet informally, ask questions and begin building strong, open working relationships. I firmly believe that positive partnerships between home and school are key to supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and success.

Today, we have been celebrating Decades Day, and it has been a joy to see the creativity and enthusiasm shown through the wonderful range of outfits from different decades. The pupils (and staff!) embraced the day with real excitement, making it a fun and memorable learning experience. Please do look out for photos from today’s celebrations in next week’s newsletter.

As SENDCo, I am committed to working closely with families to ensure that all pupils, including those with additional needs, feel supported, included and valued. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch – I look forward to working together to ensure every child at St Clement’s is able to thrive.
