The Anchor News – 26th June 2026

This week, Year 4 have had a fantastic Culture Week, with a special focus on learning about Mexico. The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring Mexican traditions, art, and celebrations, and have shown great curiosity and enthusiasm in all activities. A particular highlight was making guacamole, where everyone followed instructions carefully and had the chance to taste something new – it was a big success! It has been lovely to see the children making links across subjects and expressing their learning creatively through writing, discussions, and artwork.

Alongside this, we have also experienced a significant heatwave, and the children have coped brilliantly in the warm conditions. We have ensured regular water breaks, used shaded areas where possible, and adapted activities to keep everyone comfortable and safe. Thank you for your continued support in sending children in with water bottles and suitable clothing. We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable weekend!
